No Map for activities downloading

As of a run on Friday and all runs after, no map details are downloading. I have a forerunner 235. Is this something I can fix or is this something that is happening to others?
The map missing from activities is an issue that has been reported to the device team for further investigation and resolution. In the mean time users can power their watches off and then back on and all of the GPS data on the next run will save and upload to Garmin Connect as expected.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused.
From what we have seen you only need to do it once and then the issue may never return. We would recommend that users power cycle their device on occasion to help prevent this issue from occurring. We are continuing to provide information to the device team with regard to this issue and will hopefully have a permanent resolution in the near future.
Me too - and Strava interprets it as a treadmill run
Since Sunday 9th October - all my runs have had NO MAP and are just recorded as > running < instead of > location & running < and when it is uploaded to Strava, it displays as a treadmill run, which I have to change manually - but that change doesn't really help, as there is still NO MAP :-(
Well that's simultaneously encouraging and disheartening. I'm glad that this is a software issue rather than a device issue, and that i'm not alone in experiencing this. The fact that this was recognized over a week ago with no resolution in sight is not the greatest sign. I will admit that in terms of gauging my progress, the GPS map is probably the least important piece of data. As long as I've still got my splits, pace, zones, etc., I can't complain too loudly.
Trying the watch reboot and hoping for the best. Should've known; the same applies for most of our devices that we're just used to having on all the time!
I too had been having this issue for the past four runs of mine. Having tried everything I could think of to no avail, I made it to this thread. The runs in question that synced with no map data I chose to delete (only from Connect) and power cycled the watch hoping that a resync would fix those previously broken runs. Now, the steps data will sync over but none of those deleted runs will transfer from the watch over to Connect anymore. I tested a new run and it synced perfectly fine, map and all, so the power cycle works for future runs, but those previously broken runs are now stuck on the watch, seemingly with no way out now.

I have the same problem with my Forerunner 630.
After an outdoor running session all of the data and info is there on Garmin Connect except the map with the route. GPS was definitely running I can confirm, but there is no map that goes along with the run. I have this problem since October 12th and I run in New York Central Park twice 12th and 14th, and today back to Paris I run outside, and none of the 3 outdoors running being in NYC or in Paris show the map with route of these sessions.

Après course extérieure toutes les données et info sont bien sur Garmin Connect sauf la carte avec l'itinéraire. GPS était bien activé et connecté, mais cependant il n'y a aucune carte qui va avec la course. J'ai ce problème depuis le 12 octobre et j'ai couru le 12 et le 14 octobre à Central Park New York, et aujourd'hui de nouveau à Paris dehors, et chaque fois aucune course sur Garmin Connect n'affichait la carte avec l'itinéraire de ces sessions.
