Keep history of stepcount ForeRunner 235 without internet

Hi,

I'm owner of a Forerunner 235 and I'm wondering if i can preserve (keep) history with my watch if i'n not connected to internet at all.
For a long journey of 3 weeks i'm not able to sync my watch and/or Connect App. Maybe it is possible with a laptop connection?
If you don't connect to connect app (which only works with internet connection), the history of your stepcount is only preserved for
about 7 days.

Looking for a way to sync my stepcount without internet connection.
I have a mobile phone (smartphone) with Connect App and a laptop which i can use.

I know that all activities are saved on the watch, so i can synchronize them after the journey.
But stepcount is probably lost after 7 days.

Hope to hear.

Robin

You can save FIT files from activities like hikes, runs etc. (in \Garmin\Activity folder on the device) on a PC (via USB) and upload these manually to Connect later, that is no problem.
Activity-tracking data is also stored in FIT files (in \Garmin\Monitor), but you cannot upload these files later to Connect. The files are very compact, so they don't take up much storage, but I don't know if they are kept indefinitely.
I have a Fenix 3 that I had never synced, and when I did do that at one point, it synced 2 weeks of steps and sleep data (but I don't recall if activity tracking had been on for 2 weeks, or more).
I suppose that you can call Garmin customer support and ask.
