Heart Rate Zones don't match up

Hi All,

When I look at my latest runs in GC the Heart Rate Zones in the Tab "Time In Zones", are not the same as the Heart Rate Zones in my FR630 settings.
For example Zone1 in my FR630 settings is 142-161 bpm, but Zone 1 in the "Time In Zone" Tab is 110-134 bpm. In the "Statistics" Tab in GC the HR zones are correct and equal to my FR630 settings.
The problem occurs from 23SEP2016 onwards, before this date the "TIZ" Tab does match up with the "Statistics" Tab and my FR630 settings.

Does anybody have the same problem? What's the casuse? And is there a way to make the "TIZ" Tab match up with my HR zones in my FR630?
Cheers, Martijn
  • With settings, Garmin Connect is where it matters.

Check your Device Settings on Garmin Connect. It might be that you have more than one set of zones defined as Garmin Connect allows you to define sport-specific zones. If you do, I suggest you delete any extra zones and make sure that the ones you have left (which will be your default zones) are what you want them to be.

When you have it all correct on Garmin Connect, sync your 630 and check the settings on it and make sure they are correct.

I don't think you can fix the zones for past sessions, so you may just have to live with them.

What seems to have happened is that on my run of 23rd september my FR630 measured my Lactate Treshold and set the start of my HR zone 5 to that specific Heartrate.
It was the first time my LT was measured and I think I got a question on my FR630 about the LT heartrate and I confirmed. Still odd that the "Time in Zone" is not equal to my HR zone in the statistics Tab.
