How to make one tracking file out of many files

Hi,
I was hiking for over 7 hours and tracked it with my Garmin Fenix 3. Because of the long duration I had to charge the watch in the breaks twice. As a result of those charging-breaks, the whole hiking trip is now stored in tree different/separate activities. Is there a way to join those three hiking-files (=activities) as one file/activity. The advantage would be, that I would see the full hiking of that day in one activity and especially on one google-map.

Thanks for all your tipps in advance!

    Check out fitfiletools.com. It has a file joiner so you should be able to upload your 3 fit files and combine them and then upload the combined file back to Garmin Connect. As far as I know there is no way to do this in Connect itself.

    I don't know if you know this, but the Fenix 3 can charge while continuing an activity if you are carrying a USB battery of some kind, in case you want to be able to keep it running during long activities.

    First: thanks for this hint regarding fitfiletools.com, which worked as desired;
    Regarding charging and continuiing the activity:
    I used an app from the Garmin-Store to track my hiking. I did not stop that app, but started charging the watch by connecting it with the "charging-clamp-cable". Immedeiately, the display changed to the charging-status-overview and when I stopped charging (took out the watch from the clamp), I saw that the app had been stopped.

    If you want to be able to charge it and keep using it go to the menu and select Settings>System>USB Mode, and change the USB mode to Garmin (instead of Mass Storage). Once that's been changed it will not bring up the charging status screen and will keep functioning like normal while charging.
