Garmin Vivoactive HR crashed in pool and now non-responsive

Hi Folks,

I was swimming in the pool yesterday with my Garmin Vivoactive HR when it started vibrating like crazy as I was swimming. Stopped to check the device and the screen was displaying garbage before switching off completely and I haven't been able to operate the device since. I've tried resetting the device but has not worked. I've also tried connecting to my laptop, the laptop momentarily recognised that a USB device had been connected and the screen briefly flashed with garbage but then all went dead again.

Any ideas what's happened!?

Thanks,

Mike.

    My Vivoactive HR also died

    Hi -

I had the same thing happen to me. I had just gotten out of the water, went to swipe to see recent info, the screen showed garbage, then shut off.

If I plug it in to charge, the screen glows very, very faintly but will not boot. tried a soft reset, holding down buttons, tried cleaning the watch/cable contacts, etc - no response.

Watch is less than 6 months old.

I have seen similar posts in this forum. I don't have a good answer from Garmin support yet.
