Garmin Segments - time doubled - logging behaviour

Went through a segment - new interesting stuff.

I went through both ways, out and back, due to the bike routes around here. The segment start/finish direction was oriented with my way back. Strangely, my times seemed about doubled, putting me way down on the leaderboard thing of course!

Later, I downloaded the segment to my watch (Forerunner 735xt) and it found the segment on the way back (ready set go), said I went through in I believe 6 min 40 sec. When I went home, synced to Garmin Connect and the segment said I went through in 12:55. Then, the sync with my watch also changed the data in the watch, so it was also 12:55.

So it keeps +/- doubling the data. Is this a known bug where you go through a segment both directions? Does Strava have this problem too?

An interesting wrinkle is that on the way out, I entered the segment through the finish, peeled off the route and went a few miles, returned to the segment in the same place, went out through the start, then turned around and did the segment in 6:40. So... when doing the segment backwards, I didn't actually follow it the whole way straight through.

    Got another problem -

I found a segment I could go through one way. However, it said that the "leaderboard is still being populated for this segment" or similar message.

It wouldn't download to the watch.

And, when I went through it, it never showed up on Garmin Connect as myself or anyone having gone through it. So, looks like the segment thing remains a little buggy.
