When I am trying to export an activity, I get this error:

type Status report

message You do not have sufficient privileges to view the activity with id 610947649.

I end up going to the old Garmin Connect and exporting from there, but when that goes away then what? Anyone else get this error?

I've tried fixing the file with http://garmin.kiesewetter.nl/ but it fails. I wonder if http://fitfilerepairtool.info/ is able to fix it. Does anyone have it installed that could try it?
  • Btw. i've tried to download today round about 20 different activitys - without any error. It sems to me Garmin has done somithing serverside... :)

    I have the same problem.

I have the same problem, but what confuses me is that this worked for years and suddenly stopped working.
  • Yup I've also been getting this message for the last couple weeks. It'll work now and then, but after 10 tries today I'd say it's broken. No word from Garmin on this yet?

When getting the FIT file directly from the watch it's import into Strava is also missing the GPS coordinates. Looks like this error is actually happening in our watches!

Hard to believe this, because I cannot export as GPX activities already uploaded on garmin connected few months ago. And at that moment I was able to export them.

Possibly you are having a different issue then.

I have had the same issue this week. I'm not able to export at all as of Sunday. Previously I had this issue randomly but it was just to hit refresh a couple of times and eventually it worked. Now it seems like it doesn't work at all. Very frustrating since I'm using another application to track all my events.

An update from my side. Just now, I was able to download the GPX-files but they are corrupted. Can't import them elsewhere. They are around 650 bytes big, normally around 100-500 kB. depending on how long exercise it was.
  • Got told to try another browser by the "help" reply, or to phone back but to make sure I had my receipt on me.....

I thought I had escaped Garmin's rubbish software moving to the Fenix and not relying on Express but now even their web apps are killing me!

I get issues with exporting gpx, across all browsers intermittently, for example it won't work on laptop but will then work on phone within minutes, and other times neither works for hours.
