Exercise time is wrong due to Garmin Connect default time on GMT

I am using a Vivoactive HR. Every time I do indoor exercise, the exercise time on Garmin Connect is always wrong. After some digging, I found that the culprit was in the default time setting on Garmin Connect. It is default in GMT, and I am in California.
Garmin engineer, please fix this. This is very annoying. Please do not default the time to GMT. There are ways to set the correct time zone for user automatically. You can use the time on the watch instead or relying on some setting that user has never been asked to verified.
I am glad I figure this out, but there are people who can't and don't have time to do that.
