Garmin connect gone mad

Since a couple of months(?) Garmin connect keeps telling me there are updates for every device all the time. Literally all the time. I sync an then it immediately comes back. For example I have the software version 4.40 on my Forerunner 735XT but Garmin connect still believes I have 2.60. All my other devices (I have six of them) can't get rid of the "user settings" I apparently should update. There really are no settings changed. The weight scale also has a "software update" similar to the Forerunner. What to do?
  • Make sure all the 'global' settings you can set are set on Garmin Connect online. Use that to send them to everything and keep your world together.

Accept the updates and let everything get on the same page. Easy!

Yes it shouldn't happen. But it does. And it doesn't stop you using the watch for training or racing.
  • I have the same issue with my VA and my FR910XT. I sent in a support request and this was their response:

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I’ll be happy to assistyou today.

Taking a look into your account, we noticed that by clicking just the Savebutton, without making any changes, your Sync Queue populates for BOTH deviceswith multiple settings changes. Based on that, I've created a case toinvestigate Garmin Connect in regards to this issue.

To help us get a better picture of what is going on, we will also need the synclogs and reports found in Garmin Express.

    philipshambrook,

What you say should work but in my case it doesn't. I've seen other threads in the past about this also. I personally think it's a bug.

Thanks. I'll have to play around some more. Hopefully something will work some day.
