How to upload data to someone else's strava account

Hi, I will be using my friends fenix 3 for a race I have. I don't yet own a garmin or have garmin connect. How can I upload the data on the watch to my own strava account? Thanks

Export the uploaded activity from Garmin Connect. Import it into Strava

Thanks. Would I have to connect the watch to his garmin account and then export it into my strava account from there?
