best km

Hi,
I see the "best pace" stat on my garmin connect dashboard. However, I don't understand how to extract the best pace over 1k (best instant pace is pretty useless and inaccurate anyways). How can I get this information? I'm using the fenix3.

Thanks
Charles
  • You can't. Not in Garmin Connect anyway, unless your best km for a particular run also happens to be your (new) personal record. I've seen mention in one of the threads on this forum that there are other fitness tracking platforms that will inform you of such metrics you seek. Good luck!

I have tried a few fitness tracking apps and none of them display best km pace. Any recommendation?
  • Not sure how you can get this - but then again I'm not sure why you would want it. Unless you are measuring best KM pace over a consistent route then the figure won't mean much. My best KM for many runs will always be on a long downhill stretch that is included in a lot of my routes I know I can run fast down it but it in no way reflects what I can run on a normal course.
  • SportTracks will do what you want, but it's a paid service.

It's just a fun fact about a race that suunto provides I thought garmin might provide it also... Of course the fastest 1k will most probably include a downhill stretch and will in no way reflect what I can run on a normal course....
