Intensity Minutes Resets when Vivosmart HR is charged

Hello - I've recently purchased a Vivosmart HR. Still getting to grips with all the functionality - but mostly so far, so good. One thing that seems a bit odd is that the Intensity Minutes counter on the device will reset to zero when it is recharged. This has happened twice now. Any new Intensity Minutes earnt will be recorded on the device. But to get the correct tally for the week is only possible via the Garmin Connect app, as the device will remain out of sync for the rest of that week (no matter how times you try to sync).

Bug? Or am I missing a trick?
