Gotoes, route to gpx but is it safe?

Not sure what you're after here. What routes are you talking about? Routes are generally .gpx and BaseCamp will import numerous files including .fit files and convert them to .gpx files.

Connect will also export in various formats.

I can't find how to export a route I had created in connect to a .gpx? can you tell me how please?

That's different, you're talking about saving a Course you've created as a gpx file, unfortunately that option isn't available as far as I'm aware. There are some work arounds I believe but I don't use them. Someone else may be able to help with that though.

Sorry, yes courses not route.

And yep, that's my issue, I can use the course on my Garmin device but wanted a back up on my phone.

Also, would you happen to know why the elevation disappears when i reopen a course? And is there a way to see the total elevation?
