Vivosmart hr notifications stopped working

My notifications have been working fine up until today. I now do not get any notifications for emails or texts. Still works for phone calls. Yes I have checked that it is on for all notifications. I have reset it and done everything i have seen in these forums to try. My husband has the same device as me and his has stopped working as well. Is it to do with the update? Can anyone help? We have only had these for about 3 weeks ago keen to get it working properly again.

There are similar problems with some Vivoactive HR. Try if it works, when Connect Mobile runs in the background and the phone has internet access and GPS switched on.

The later seems to be very important for newer Android versions, while iOS has less issues as it seems.

Hi, we both have the latest Huawei p9 phones. It was all working until Monday morning. I figured something must have changed but no idea what? GPS is on along with Internet. It is just weird.

Maybe not connected, but i am on Windows 10, notifications work 95% of the time. When they don't it is because of the sync times of the app and also if the app is actually running in the background. I am still new to this band so still figuring it out. I also get a longer delay when my glance screen is on, like lockscreen on android. Notifications are almost instant when app is open and phone is unlocked, but can be a 5 minute plus delay if phone is locked.
I would suggest just unpairing phone and device and starting the pairing process again. I had to do this after the band updated its firmware.

That's why I would recommend to ask again in the Vivosmart HR Forum:

That often helps, no matter which phone or device, but it should be done in the phone's Bluetooth section as in Garmin Connect Mobile too. And the repairing should be done with GCM.
