Questions about changing device

I just switched from a Vivoactive to a Vivoactive HR and everything seems to work/sync but the step count is not incrementing. The step detail view shows the steps per hour but the total is not incrementing. Not sure if it is due to the new watch not reaching the number of steps I had before switching devices. The floor count seems off - low - like some are not counted. Activities seem to show up. Just wondering if I need to wait until midnight/tomorrow to see if it catches up.
