I travelled almost more than 3 km while pusing a Baby pram/stroller and the step Count was very less. Is it a Problem or it is designed so?

What happens if you swing your arm and don't walk, or swing your arm while you push the stroller?

If I use other Hand to push and swing the Hand with watch, it works fine. Mostly I Need both Hands to push and it is more easy. I do not want to use only one Hand to push and swing my Hand because I want the watch to calculate steps.
So watch does not calculate steps if I do not swing?

Yes, It also adds steps if i just swing and dont move even.

Without the arm swing the watch has no way of knowing you are walking. The accelerometer may detect that you are moving, but you could be sitting in a car or riding a bike for all it knows. Same thing will happen pushing a shopping cart or mowing the lawn. In reality, the watch doesn't count steps, it counts arm swings and assumes this directly correlates to steps. But as you've discovered this is not 100% always true (and works both ways). I believe all fitness watches work this way.

I have no idea if this would work, but you could try putting the watch in your pocket, especially if you have cargo pockets, to see if the watch will interpret the motion of your thigh as steps. Of course, then it wouldn't make a very good watch for telling time! If that doesn't work and you still want to count steps, a watch may not meet your needs. You may need to get one of the more traditional pedometers that clips to your waistband.

As J.Fann said. Without swinging your arm...the f3hr is clueless to steps. This holds true to all watches with step counting.

    Your options are:
    1. Wear in pocket (several users have reported this as working ok)
    2. Use a (seperate) cliop-on or your phone in pocket as pedometer....and merge the data to garmin connect manually.
    3. Garmin foot pod will NOT work. It does not calculate steps...in theory the only foor pod that would do this is the adidas speedcell..but it requires a lot of work to merge the data to garmin after the walk.

You could try attaching the watch to your lower leg perhaps (tucked in a sock)

Another option is to turn on the GPS by starting a walk activity. This won't do much for the steps but it will get the distance right and add to your calories burned.
