Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale with Garmin Connect

Is there such a possibility, to connect third-party bluetooth scale (Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale in my case) with Garmin Connect?
  • 2FA/MFA is now supported in android version (since v2.1.0) and web app

  • you are great, I have a lot of respect for the work you have done

  • Lukasz, hi and thanks for your app (I think Garmin appreciate your work since it is the only app listed in faq section on Garmin site).

Question - does your app sync weigh only or other parameters as well (don't know what is stored in Garmin connect). More or less happy with my current scales, but they sync only weight (via Fitbit) and very unreliably.

Consider to change to mi scale - will I get more data?

Ps it's a pity your app doesn't work with 3rd party scales (at least I failed to connect)

  • I have Xiaomi Composition Scales 2, the app synchronises most of the parameters. And I bought my scales for 12 euros in new openbox condition. I think that's a real bargain.

  • phanex, thanks!

Do you mean that fat%, muscle mass etc is put into Garmin connect (I actually thought it is not possible since my interface has only weight)? That's really nice then.

    Thanks again!

  • Here is a screenshot of my current measurements. The data, that goes to Garmin, and the one that doesn't.

The measurements can be total inaccurate, because mostly I was standing on the left leg. My right one is broken, so no sports for me for next 3 months.

  • Thanks!

    And get well!

  • Thank you for appreciating my application. Initially it was a project for my own use but I decided to share it with the world because there were more people like me.

Unfortunately, I do not have access to other scales, or their algorithms are not known in the open source world, so I do not have the ability to add their support. In this case, it remains to manually enter data from such scales via web or android app.

Via the official Garmin connect form, you can submit only the weight. My app creates a .fit activity that contains more information about body composition. Unfortunately, Garmin does not make such an option available in the UI of its service.

You mentioned that my application is listed in the FAQ, do you have a link to that? I was very surprised by this news, as I would rather expect the opposite reaction from Garmin.

  • Sorry, I Cannot find it. I was looking for this very post (or rather the one with announcement that you have the app published) and came across. That was not forum, but I cannot find it
