Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale with Garmin Connect

Is there such a possibility, to connect third-party bluetooth scale (Xiaomi Mi Smart Scale in my case) with Garmin Connect?

While searching for answers, I found another great possibility:

Here, one can make the scales fully independent of the smartphone. If you do not have a smart-home server with a Bluetooth adapter installed, a tech-savvy person can make a separate device with components around $10 (ESP32 board and a Li-Ion battery).

I think one can make it built-in in the scales itself and use the scales' battery. But, probably, it needs more technical tweaking.

The only downside - these scales will be only yours. And if your wife/husband/child/dog stands on it, it will send their weight to your Garmin Online account.

This project is for multiple users (detects weight differences):

Script "export_garmin.py" supports multiple users with individual weights ranges, we can link multiple accounts with Garmin Connect;

It's definitely something with android 8.1
I tried it on a friend's mob with android 10 and everything works OK.

I'll try this afternoon to install on my spare Blackberry KeyOne it's on factory settings, completely clean.

It's probably not a bug, but 8.1 android is too old...

If like me you have too old android phone and it doesn't work for you "MiScale Exporter", try this: https://github.com/davidkroell/bodycomposition/releases

It works under windows (or linux ) via the command line...

Alas, it's only CLI for Garmin Online. One need to measure himself and he can send to Garmin with this utility.

The developer made two changes specific to my old phone…
It was a problem that android 8 does not support HTTPS2 and a problem with bluetooth permission.
Now the my scale exporter works fine for me.
All recommendations!
