Course transfer failure

Hi all,

I have this recurrent issue with my 920XT : when I send a course I created on Connect to my watch using wifi, most of the time I get a "Transfer Complete (1 File Failed)" message on my watch.

If I connect it to my computer using the USB connector and Garmin Express, then it syncs without any issue and I can then use the course on my watch.

I've sent an email to Garmin Support but so far no response.

Apparently, it's only the course transfers that fail consistently as I have no issues with activities uploaded from my watch to Garmin Connect through wifi.

Do some of you experience this specific issue with the latest firmware ?

6 months later, I thought I'd share the solution that was given to me by Garmin support : It turns out that transferring a course over Wifi or Bluetooth only works if you also sync an activity at the same time !

At first I was sceptic but it turns out that it does indeed work ! I was able to successfully transfer a course created on Garmin Connect that would systematically fail to transfer wirelessly previously. All I had to do was start a bogus activity on my 920XT watch (a three-second run), save it and then sync. The course got transferred on the watch and I then proceeded to delete the fake activity.

I'm glad I won't have to use the USB charger anymore to do a simple course upload on my watch !
