cannot update user settings

every time I open the garmin app on my macbook it trys to install some user settings, then fails and tells me it can;t be done. it says device settings (transfer error)

also, I have no idea how to update it. just seems to do it it's self most of the time, but now for example my swim from today is not on there, and I have no idea how to get it on there?

I have experienced this issue a couple of times recently after updating my weight. It has been resolved by clicking the "sync" button in the Garmin Express window or "send to device" in the settings/personal information window in Garmin Connect. More than 1 attempt was needed once.
However, the issue seems to have resolved itself for the time being.
  • Thanks for the reply, I've just tried the above about 10 times and it is not working. I'm trying to sync a Garmin Swim, using the ANT+ stick and a Macbook pro 2015.
for as long as I've had it, it's updated my swims onto garmin connect, but every time it's done it it has brought up the message about being unable to transfer the user settings. but now it seems to not be working, My swim from yesterday is still not on there.

I've clicked on the user settings tab and it's just some basic info about me, height, weight, D.O.B and activity class. Why does the watch need to know this stuff? it knows my weight anyway. I've tried to just remove it from the list but it just comes back on the list next time and then fails to transfer:mad:

    Sorry that it didn't help.

FYI I am using a 2015 imac and an ant stick so I don't think the problem lies there.
