Activities won't sync - Approach S20

When I try to sync my S20, I get the following:
Unable to Sync. We couldn't sync the daily activity data (i.e. steps taken) from this device because it's not set as your activity tracker.
Then there's a link: Change Activity Tracker.
I click on that, and it takes me to the settings page in Garmin Connect, where Activity Tracking is already turned on.
And that's it. I've done a reset of the watch; I've turned the Activity Tracking on and off; but no luck.
There no activity data stored in Garmin Connect later than June 2016. This is probably from the original watch, which was replaced.

Any suggestions?

    New Vivofit not able to sync and track my steps on Garmin Connect

    I am having similar issues. MY first Garmin Vivofit croaked after 1 year so I bought a new one. I synced it with my computer and the first day it looked like it was tracking my steps but then there was something with "set this device as your activity tracker" so I clicked on that and I thought that would do the trick but I still do not see my activity on my new Vivofit.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    My Approach 20 will not connect or sync.

    Worked okay yesterday but today .. zip, nada ... do I toss it and by a new one or try a hard reset which I guess will lose all my data.???

    App not syncing all of my daily activities but it says synced
    My first watch was a Forerunner, worked perfectly.
    I got a Fenix Saphire in April, used it until June ( it is too big for me)
    I went back to my Forerunner 235 - retiring the Fenix on Garmin connect

    Now, using the Forerunner-Nothing is syncing on the computer or the app (steps, sleep etc.) , it is just the activities that I log that syncs,
    the app and computer says it is synced and up to date, but Theres no info on my profile

    I have emailed Garmin numerous times but had not one reply

    Please help!!!

  • I’m having the exact same problem and the chat line is no help at all.  Have you gotten any resolution to this problem?  The only thing that works is my scorecards.
