I downloaded the GPX files for an upcoming event (http://www.tordesgeants.it/sites/default/files/uploads/tor_des_geants_20160809.zip) When I tried to import these files (6 separate files in the archive) into Connect to transfer them to my Forerunner 310XT I got the error:
An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.
Of course, trying it again didn't help at all.
I used then http://www.gpsies.com/ to convert the files into the Garmin Course TCX format. GPSies had no problem to load the GPX file, as hadn't another GPX viewer. When I tried to upload the TCX file, Connect responded with the very concise and absolutely useless error message:
undefined
It seems that the import fails, when the GPX track has too many points. However, if that is the reason, why is Connect not giving a proper error message? I why can I upload pretty large tracks (100+k, 24+hours) from my device (Forerunner 310XT), but not import from a file. Doesn't make any sense to me.
What is the maximum size (number of points, file size) of a GPX track, which can be imported into Connect?
Why is there such a limit in the first place?
