connect not reconnecting

I have a vivosmart HR, as well as two other devices, though they are not currently in constant use. Over the last few days, i have noticed that my VS does not reconnect to the phone if I leave the range of the phone and then come back. The only way to reconnect the watch is to powercycle the phone. I assume this is a connect issue, not a VS one, so...
