Why has an activity no information about a training?

I created a training, for example 4x400 intervall, and started this training from my watch (first time I used the training feature). After the activity got uploaded to Garmin Connect I couldnt find any information that this activity was done with the created training!

So I have no chance to compare activities completed with the same training in the future except I would name them like the training to find them later on?
  • I have the same problem. I've jus started a Half Marathon plan. I choose from the watch the training session . When I finish it I just save it. Then, in Garmin Connect I see both my training session (not done) and the run I saved. I don´t know how to fix it, and I know it´s possible because a friend of mine (different watch, though) doesn't have this problem and the he runs a training session it appears as done in his calendar.
  • The technical answer to your question of “why” is that there is no (meta)data recorded in the FIT file for the timed activity to indicate it was created using a specific custom workout as a template. You can go on to argue “should” or the value it has for (some) users of the Garmin products that support custom workouts, but the fact remains what you want is not in the design and you (or other customers) were not invited to collaborate in the design process.
