Old map data is missing

Most of my map data is missing previous to sometime around 2012. Does Garmin Connect have a retention period? Here is an example that has all the data but is missing the map (2011).

I have activities back to 2008 and would like to see the routes in map form.

I have activities back to March 2011 that are complete with maps and other data. There is, however, some corruption of heart rate data for these old activities.
