Wish for a new feature regarding splits

When viewing splits for an activity there is currently a possibility to select splits. It would be also really nice if the splits would become highlighted on the map, and Elevation, Pace, and Heart Rate diagrams. And finally it would be especially nice if the software would calculate total times, distances, weighted averates for pace, speed, heart rates, etc. for the selected splits.
  • I wouldn't hold your breath but it sure would be nice to see some more functionality for splits. I think the majority of users have never touched the lap button once.

I'm going to have to go ahead and sort of disagree with you there.

It's easy enough to either accidentally press the bottom button on the right-hand side of Forerunner 230/235/735/… when users wear the watch on the left wrist, or erroneously press that button instead of the one above when aiming to stop/pause an activity. Furthermore, would the majority of users not even try or test the lap function even once in the first so many days of receiving a new gadget, irrespective of how often he/she has a use for it on actual runs?

I pressed the lap button accidentally once. Messed up my auto laps. At least with Polar manual laps and automatic laps are separate. Not so with my 230.

I mark splits between songs during spinning workouts (10-20 splits per workout).
During bicycle tours, I mark a split for every turn on the cue sheet (so, this could go up to 90 splits for a day of riding).

I would love to see some very thin vertical black lines overlaid on all the Connect graphs, showing where each split occurred.
