A feature request: Can Garmin sync up with other food diary programs?

Hi folks,

I want to have a single dashboard for all my health and fitness info. I have recently registered for MyFitnessPal, but I find the layout and performance lacking as compared to MyNetDiary.

Can Garmin kindly extend the sync features of Garmin Connect so that we can hook up with other food diary programs? MyNetDiary is awesome and I'd like to integrate it!

Thanks,

-n
  • Seems that the ability to connect the two is already there. Scroll down the bottom of the main page and there is a link with instructions detailing how to connect MyNetDiary and Garmin Connect.

I use MyFitnessPal and have no problems with it. Syncing happens immediately. I have Garmin Connect and Fitbit linked so they all share information. As I read through MyNetDiary, it looks like syncing is on an hourly basis.

    MyFitnessPal is free, unlike MyNetDiary.
  • I second this, my net diary is much more user friendly. We need two way data exchange like MFP!

  • I agree. MyNetDiary is superior. Why am I having to downgrade my food tracking to use Garmin?

  • MyfFitnessPal is no longer free without major restrictions and advertisment popups. Users are leaving in droves and reviews reflect the major dissatisfaction. Maybe time to revisit the two way calorie counting integration and integrate MyNetDiary with Garmin Connect?

  • The developers of those app are free to buy into the Garmin API usage.
