Very low calories and training effect on running activity?

Hi there,

My wife just did a running activity with her 735XT and the calorie count and training effect seems completely wrong. The heart rate, cadence, and GPS data all seem correct though.

Can anyone comment on whether this is some user error or a Garmin problem? Is there any way to re-trigger the calorie and training effect calculation?

Here's the incorrect activity: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1277302530

And here's a previous correct activity: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/1269057619

Thanks!
  • What does the summary on the 735XT say? The same numbers as Garmin Connect or something more realistic?

If they are more realistic, you could try deleting the activity from Garmin Connect and re-uploading from the 735XT. You might have to connect by USB and do it manually if the Bluetooth upload doesn't work.

Thanks for the response! Unfortunately, it looks like the data is wrong in the summary on the 735XT as well. I guess we'll just have to write this one off as a fluke and see if the next one reports better.
