Unable to upload any fit/tcx files to Garmin Connect

As of yesterday, I am unable to import any activities into Garmin Connect.

I've tried multiple browsers, I've tried altered fit files imported as fit and tcx, I've tried un-altered fit files (exported directly from Garmin Connect, then imported directly back in), etc. but still getting the error "An error occurred with your upload. Please try again."

Is anyone else seeing this? I can't imagine that this is only an issue for me...

Thanks in advance.

Strava and Endomondo upload and sync fine.
  • Probably a bug they'll fix when they have time!
Uploaded session from the Garmin Edge 1000 with no problem, but could not upload the identical file from the computer!

    Looks like a server error?

Getting the same issue, and when I look at the response from the server ( using the Chrome Web Developer tools ) I can see the server is responding with "HTTP Status 401 - Invalid signature for signature method HMAC-SHA1". Sounds like something is definitely broken on their end.

    Thanks! That's good info.

Thanks to everyone else who responded as well so I don't have to keep pulling my hair out. Hopefully they fix it soon.
  • I am getting the same error this morning when trying to upload a .TCX file from my trainerroad program that I use on my indoor bike trainer. I guess I will try it tomorrow.

    importing fit file fails

Been searching and glad I found this thread, I usually upload on my chromebook (for more than a year now)my edge 200 cycle data with no problems. Today it wouldn't import the file. I could find the file, but every time I tried to upload it said error uploading, please try again.
I used my old laptop and after lengthy battles with the garmin express uploaded it.It said my old laptop browser was no longer supported but I luckily managed to upload anyway. Hope they fix this fit file upload problem soon.
