Creating a Swim Workout

I am trying to create a swim workout that repeats more than just one distance, is that possible. Such as (25 rest 5sec, 50 rest 5sec, 75 rest 10sec, 100 rest 15 sec) repeat 4 times.

yep in garmin connect you can create a swim workout and send that to your watch or schedule it in your calendar at least for some of garmins watches
  • Yes, it is possible, but just not as quick or convenient as you'd most likely prefer

Each ‘Repeat’ block for a custom Pool Swim workout can only have one active step (of type Swim, Warm up, or Cool down) followed by one Rest step. However, nothing stops you from creating a custom Pool Swim workout with no Repeat blocks, but containing 8×4=32 (or less one, if you want to omit the final Rest step in the sequence) steps to achieve the functional outcome you want:

    Step n: Swim 25 metres
    Step (n+1): Rest 00:05
    Step (n+2): Swim 50 metres
    Step (n+3): Rest 00:05
    Step (n+4): Swim 75 metres
    Step (n+5): Rest 00:05
    Step (n+6): Swim 100 metres
    Step (n+7): Rest 00:05
    Step (n+8): Swim 25 metres
    Step (n+9): Rest 00:05
    ———⋮
    Step (n+30): Swim 100 metres

so, yes, it is possible to create a workout to match your requirements. Obviously, the unusual complexity of the structure of your workout will be reflected by the atypical level of manual effort it takes to create it in Garmin Connect online.
