Smart notifications won't work - Garmin vivofit 3 + LG G3

Hey guys,
I have Garmin Vivofit 3 and Lg G3, both have latest updates.

When i try to select smart notifications on my Garmin Connect app a popup prompts (App's notification) and says "Permission Required - on of your garmin devices is requesting access to your contact list. This requires the contact permission to be granted".
When i click the popup nothing happens.

No notifications are popups out,
What can i do?
Where can i add the permission to be granted?

I don't have the vf3 but I do own a vf1.

What I can tell you is that the vivofits I know about don't support smart notifications at all. You would need a different device such as a vivosmart, vivosmart HR, a vivoactive, a vivoactive HR, or one of the more expensive watches like the fenix, etc..

I don't think that has changed.

So it's weird that there is an option "smart notifications" on the device's settings...

It's the same Mobile Connect for all of Garmin's devices that link to it. It's no surprise those options appear regardless of the device.

Here's a link to the VF3 manual. There's no mention of smart notifications.
