New Issue with .GPX & .TCX files from Fenix 3

For some reason the training files I have just recorded on my Fenix 3 are behaving differently to previous ones when I try to export a .GPX or .TCX file. Before now they were exported just with those file suffixes but they now have an additional .XML suffix. When I try to import those exported files into other analytics software they are no longer recognised. Any ideas ?

** Actually it's an issue with Garmin Connect as it is exporting all my old files in the same way.

BTW, please, please can Garmin add a Strokes Per Minute and Distance Per Stroke field into its Paddle activity. It's a really basic requirement and at the moment it's like having a Bike activity with no cadence or power output fields ! Lots of paddlers use compatible cadence sensors on their paddles but at the moment we have to pretend we are on a bike to use them !

    Workaround

    Same issue !
    here a workaround

What I did to correct the wrong GPX (or TCX) file :
    - Renamed the file "activity_123456789.gpx.xml" (wrong format since 10th July produced when exporting from Garmin Connect) to "activity_123456789.gpx" (or .tcx)
    - Opened the file with a GPX-Editor (a Mac version, bought via Apple-store; others free, Google-search !)
    - Deleted the wrong point at the end of the file (last point cordon. long = 0, lat = 0)
    - saved the file

    Sorry for my poor English

    Thanks

Thanks for the info. It seems like a real drag to have to go through that process. Has this problem only just started happening for you ? I haven't tried to export a GPX or TCX file for a week or so, but before that it was working just fine and the files didn't have the .XML suffix o the end of them.

By the way, your English is excellent !
