Vivoactive HR Display Question

Hi all,

I'm not sure if this is the correct section to post this question in, but I've just purchased a Vivoactive HR device.

I'm wondering what the vertical red bar is for on the default time and date display screen? There is a vertical red bar which then has a white section in it some of the time.

I've downloaded the manual from Garmin website and Skim through it, but I can't seem to see the explanation of this vertical red bar.

I've seen the section about the red bar on the "move alert" section, but I am not sure if this is the same thing?

Also, is there a way to customize the default screen so that, for example, I see heart rate all the time instead of having to swipe to see it?

cheers.

    Great Question - ANYONE Know!!

i have looked all thru the Garmin literature and cannot find what this bar indicates and why it is sometimes all red and sometime has white in it. Maybe asking again will stimulate a response.
  • It's the Move Alert bar. If you sit for too long, it will keep creeping upward and when full, will buzz (also buzz when half fill). It's to tell you to get up and walk a bit. It can be disabled if you wish. Idea is nice but it doesn't register with activities so even if you exercise for an hour, it won't register it and might tell you to move in 15 minutes. I disabled it myself.

For the watchface, look for ActiFace on Connect IQ. That's the one I'm using and like it.

PS. There's a forum specific to the VivoActive HR. Better to post there for VivoActive HR specific questions.
  • Which Watch Face.

There several different pre-installed Garmin Watch Faces.

I looked at 2 of theHRLit default watch faces and they appear to be the move bars, but I have not used them to verify it.

There are a large number of different watch faces that can be downloaded IQ Connect Store.

Personally I alternate between HRLite (white) which does not have the move bar and Simple Activity which does.
  • The one mentioned in my previous message, ActiFace.
