comparing heart rate traces from different devices

Hi,

I'm interested in comparing a couple of different heart rates straps and an optical heart rate. I'd like to be able to plot the output from each device onto the same graph from a single run. ie wear all 3 devices at once and record their output.
Does anyone what software might allow me to do this and whether I would need to use multiple recording devices.

Thanks
Scott
  • DC Rainmaker has a custom app which does this.
  • Why the two chest straps I can understand Optical wrist vs Chest strap but if you wear 2 then 1 will be in optimal position and the other not - I suppose if you do several tracks alternating the positions of the two chest straps that will give you an indication of whether the position is influencing the results
  • Ok - DC was using a custom app - thanks for link. I wasn't sure if it was available software. I did ask him on twitter what he had used but didn't get a response.

If I was doing two chest straps, which I would if checking performance of different bands, I'd have to alternate postion- as you say.
  • With Golden Cheetah you can overlay and compare activities. Perhaps this will be close to what you are looking for.
