[BUG] Training plans: Title should be named based on week-start-day setting

Hey everyone,

I'm living in Austria and for us the week begins on Monday. I've started a half marathon and was confused, why a run on monday is titled like W3D2 ...

Would be nice, if the title of each training is named based on a local setting or local region?!

What do you think about that?

cheers
Josef

EDIT: It's a feature and not a bug. The Naming isn't based on the normal weeknumbers. It's based on the final competition date.

LOL I know, but this setting is not taken into account when creating a training plan for e.g. half marathon :)
  • That is not a bug at all as you suggested

I'm afraid the defect is in your understanding and not the software application.

The cultural norm and the Garmin Connect user setting in that regard are quite irrelevant.

Because you scheduled the training plan to begin on a Sunday.

I don't think it makes sense in the context. If I start an n-week training plan that ends on a Wednesday (nominally being the ‘race day’, however uncommon that may be), then the corresponding training week begins on Thursday and ends on Wednesday, with Friday being the second day (‘D2’) in each training week, Sunday the fourth day (‘D4’), etc.

The idea of “the week” in relation to how society (or the workplace) around me behaves is irrelevant to training to a set schedule for a period of 7n days.

    Thanks!
