Download/save gpx-file from garmin connect on iOS-device

Hi,
A month ago I managed to download the gpx-file from my activity on garmin connect and saving it to Dropbox using only my iPhone/iPad. When I tried it this weekend i could not manage to make it work. It will instead open the data in the Safari-window, not enabling me to download or save it.

What I think I did last time was:
1. Open the activity in Garmin connect website with Safari on my iPhone.
2. klick the wheel in the top right of the window enabling the menu with e.g. the "export to gpx" option
3. klick the "export to gpx" option and then choose what app I want to use, or other options like send it with email/messages etc.
4. Choose dropbox as the app to use and save it there.

I must admit that I'm not 100% sure on the step 3 above. And here is where I go wrong now. It will only open the data in a new window, and from there I can not download it.

If I instead click and hold on the link I get another set of options - but still not the dialog where I can choose what app to open or save to.

Any advices would be great. I'm spending time away from the computer a couple of weeks and need this to work to be able to upload my activites to a site where we analyse competitions and trainings.

Thanks
Stefan

    Confirmed

I usually do the same thing, and somewhere last week, it stopped working. Now it just opens it in the tab as text, instead of offering the option to "open with". I tested with .tcx and .gpx. (.fit still works, since that comes as a .zip file, but is unusable by the app I use (iSmoothRun) to upload the activity to all the different tracking sites I'm registered at.

    Please fixe this, Garmin.
  • Good to hear that I'm not the only one having issues. Then I'm guessing something has happened on the server side, not the user side ;-)

    Thanks for the reply
