Help on how to make a custom report in garmin connect

Hello Garmin forums,
I have recently upgraded from a Forerunner 220 to a Vivoactive HR about a couple months ago. So far I love the watch, and most of the time I don’t take it off except to charge. Most of my activities are about hour long runs I do during my lunch breaks and the occasional golf round after work.
One of my co-workers who does more serious workouts told me to start monitoring my resting heart rate the moment I wake up in the morning. He said that if you had a hard enough work out the day before, your body would be in recovery mode. This recovery mode should have a noticeable effect on the resting heart rate, where it should be higher when compared to the day following non-work out days.
The Vivoactive HR is measuring sleep rates (or estimates) and resting heart rates (or estimates). So since the raw data is present on the watch, and therefore Garmin connect…I would expect it is possible to create some sort of report to look at the resting heart in this manner.
Does anyone have any recommendations or advice on how to set this up (or let me know if this is not possible)?
Thanks in advance,
Nick
