Activity "Motorcycling" does not appear on Calendar in Garmin Connect

I have "Cycling" and "Motorcycle" activities on my Garmin 520. In Garmin Connect none of the motorcycle activities show. If I go to Activities and change that activity to "Hiking" and then go back to the calendar, to the left under Activities "Hiking" shows up. As soon as I change the activity back to "Motorcycling", and go back to the calendar, to the left under Activities "Motorcycling" does not appear. So I cannot select it to have it shown on the Calendar. There are other activities for e.g. "Steps" that also do not appear. What am I doing wrong?
  • You're not doing anything wrong Marius,
As far as I know Motorcycling events do not appear in calendar view.
If you'd like to suggest it somewhere you're likely to get a reply I'd recommend here - https://twitter.com/Garmin

Now that I have done that I noted that in the 520 I cannot select swimming under Activity Profiles, Bike (Profile I use on motorcycle), Default riding type

There are only cycling ride types. Seems like the 520 is a cycling specific computer and cannot be setup for anything else?? Damn!!
  • I'm not sure exactly what you mean, a screenshot might help :3
fwiw it works for me on activities I've done on my edge 500 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . I changed the dropdown activity type to swimming, opened calendar https://connect.garmin.com/modern/calendar/2016/6 and selected the 'swimming' checkbox under activities

The Edge 520's product page on Garmin's web site does not suggest otherwise to current and prospective owners of that device model, does it?

OMG He's right! Someone tell the Garmin techs who put the dropdown box for activity type to clean out their desks and go home, or at least let the device development team catch up with their work on the hunting/fishing specific device!
