Some thoughts/questions about garmin210/garmin connect

I am very disappointed.
It is not able to see what time was on a certain distance.. If I for example want to know the time at 2.8km and at 3.5 km it is not possible. I think it was possible on the older version of garmin connect. Of course you can "step" forvard on the player (which was better earlier) an look at the time in the diagrams. But then I have to do it in both distance-mode and time-mode, take notes... compare time and distances separately on differnet places on the player (satellite-picture). The player is also very fast (I havent seen any adjustment possibilities). And you cant move the postiton with the mouse in distance mode, only in time-mode. This is really bad.
The main task of this equipment should be to give time and distance information easily. That is the idea of combining a gps with a watch. But it is hardly possible to get it with garmin(connect).
The only way to get split times with garmin (connect) is to use auto lap. Then you get time information, at best, every 0,5 km . It is very rough.
And there is no way to take split times manually while running? Or is it?
My next gps-watch is hardly a garmin.
