Calendar workout synchronization

I recently started using the calendar to schedule my workouts and globally it works.
I am however surprised to see that the entries are "duplicated" after a workout is uploaded. By "duplicated" I mean that it displays the scheduled workout (in yellow in my screenshots) and the executed workouts alongside (in blue or orange).
Worse, the names are not even synchronized; my executed workout is uploaded with the default name (e.g: "Running").

Am I wrong to think that the executed workout should be replacing the scheduled workout once done? Or at least the executed workout should use the scheduled workout name as default?
Am I doing that wrong or is it a limitation of the platform?

Note: I am sending the calendar and workouts to my watch. Then when I execute the workout, I don't just start a run/swim ... I go to Settings button -> Training -> Calendar -> Execute workout on my Fenix 3

I'd say so. Not everyone agrees.

The watch doesn't name the activity for which the data is uploaded, and only the watch knows whether you were following a custom workout or not when tracking a timed sports activity.

Am I doing that wrong or is it a limitation of the platform?
You can say it's a limitation of the platform, but don't presume you're ‘right’ or have the high ground, and that there should be no such limitation preventing you from having what you want.
