Units for Canadians

Sorry, but everytime I search the forums, I get a corrupted web page back, I am sure it has been asked, but I guess I will ask again ...

Just moved from the FitBit Surge to the Garmin VivoActiveHR, which of course uses Garmin Connect (the band on my Surge broke just after warrant, Fitbit told me to buy a new watch with a replaceable band, so I did, the Garmin !).

The FitBit mobile software allowed me to use height / weight as feet/lbs and distance and speed as km and km/h ... kind of a hybrid of statue and metric.

I found the settings in the watch itself to allow me to set my preferred units for the varying measurements, but I can not figure out how to do this in the Garmin Connect software.

Is it possible and if so, how. My weight in KG's means nothing to me, and switching to statue will change my miles and speeds in, well, miles and mph, which again, means nothing to me.

I am only on day two of the new watch and Garmin connect, so I apologize if there is a simple way to do this.
  • In my display settings I use statute UK. That means that Connect is going to show height in Feet and Inches and weight in lbs. It also means that distance will be in miles and not in KMs.

However, my watch is set to kms so I get the proper feedback while I'm using it. That's the best I've able to do.

Interestingly, I prefer miles for running and I prefer KMs for cycling. Go figure.
  • thank you, i over looked the Statute UK, what ever that means. That might work I'll play around with it, but honestly, Why don't they just change the unit of measure what what we want for What we want?

That way you can have your Miles and KM.
