Forerunner 910XT Troubleshooting Wireless Transfer

I've got a Forerunner 910XT that I've been using for a couple of years without any significant issues, and specifically have had no issues with transferring my activity data to Garmin Connect and Strava.

... as of yesterday and again today, after completing my workout, I do what I've always done and connected my device to the charging clip (which is connected to my computer via USB). Immediately the display shows the transfer in progress (as usual), but after that the data never reaches Garmin Connect OR Strava.

Can anyone suggest a possible direction for troubleshooting this sudden malfunction?

  • Sometimes Express gets a bit locked up. Have you tried quitting it/rebooting?
  • You've probably got a corrupted activity file. Clean up the files on your 910XT, then try again with a new activity.

    There are a number of posts on the forum about this.
  • Garmin 310xt activities not showing up in garmin connect

    i too have had this happen twice in last two day. It just started now after years of no issues. Anyway to get these activities into garmin connect? Thanks
  • My 410 has also stopped sending activities to Garmin Connect as of yesterday. I was able to manually upload a workout, but today's workout seems to have just entirely disappeared with no backup file on my computer either.

    ... at least I'm not the only one that has experienced this phenomenon in the past 48 hours. I've updated all software, and cleared my 910XT history file. We'll see if it makes any difference after tomorrow's workout. I'll update...

    Me too!

    Same here - 910X forerunner was working fine, uploading to garmin connect through ANT agent, and now for 48 hours the data looks to be binging across to ANT agent but never makes it to garmin connect... there must have been some sort of update that knocked out garmin connect's support for ANT agent? Anyone got any ideas?

    Also - does anyone have any ideas what ANT agent does with the data received - is it likely to be stored as a file somewhere that I can retrieve it?

  • Same Data Transfer Issue with 910XT

    I had the exact same issue... uploaded data on 6/29 (Wed) at 11:45PM Pacific and transfer shows as "complete" but the data is not on my Dashboard/Activities. What's going on?:mad:
    FYI - My previous successful update (using ANT Agent) was on Tue afternoon (6/28).

    has anyone got it working again yet? I don't dare let my watch near the computer incase it loses more of my runs!

    Can't help but wanted to report that I've been experiences the same issue the past two days. Seems to be a problem on Garmin's side.

    Are users that are experiencing transfer issues using ANT Agent?

    If you are still using ANT Agent, please discontinue ANT Agent and use Garmin Express (www.garmin.com/express). ANT Agent is a discontinued program and is no longer supported by Garmin Connect.

    If you are experiencing transfer issues while using Garmin Express, we recommend that you contact Product Support (www.garmin.com/support). At this time, there are currently no website/server issues that would be causing users to not be able to sync their devices.
