Change pool length in Connect

Hi there

Can anyone tell me how to change the pool length for a swimming activity in Garmin Connect? I forgot to change the pool length before swimming with a fenix 3. I can edit the activity in Connect, but the pool length field doesn't seem to be editable.

Actually you can edit pool length in GC.

Open up the Edit page (click on the pencil icon).
Change the type of activity to anything besides lap swimming.
Edit stuffs.
Change activity type back to lap…

It cannot be done in Garmin Connect. Your only hope is http://www.swimmingwatchtools.com/. This is what I use whenever I forget to change pool size.

I have the same need too.

I would like to change the Pool Length data as the GPS record distance is way off.

Hope someone can help here.

It cannot be done in Garmin Connect. Your only hope is http://www.swimmingwatchtools.com/. This is what I use whenever I forget to change pool size.

This is my 1st time with the Garmin watch and this swimming pool is a open pool (no rooftop)

I have found out the part of the solution.

1st I would change the activity type from Lap swimming to Open Swimming. Then click pencil to edit.
The Overall distance can be edit. However, the pool length still not able to change.

The question was about how to change the pool length AFTER the activity.

So if you have swum 100 lengths that should have been 25m each, but you accidentally left the pool length unchanged from your previous swim in a 20m pool. In that scenario Garmin will have recorded a total length of 100x20 = 2,000 m when it should have been 100x25 = 2,500 m.

3.19 Can't amend pool length after swim

Unless I am missing something I now seem unable to amend the pool length in my swimming activity where for one reason or another it is wrong in the activity. This was a very useful feature that was available in the previous version.

Please Garmin can you reinstate

Like tmk2 mentioned http://www.swimmingwatchtools.com/ is a very useful tool for editing pool swims. In addition to being able to change the length you can also change the stroke recorded and merge or split lengths in case the watch messed up. These features really should be built into Garmin Connect but this is a useful workaround.

A good tip if you regularly swim in different size pools is to create multiple pool swim activities for them. Since I sometimes swim in a 25m pool and sometimes in a 25y pool I have a separate activity for each so I don't have to go into the settings and change it each time, I just select the right activity when starting the swim.

Remove the decimal point and all the many zeroes after it in both the pool length and distance boxes.
Save your work.
