I received a Vivosmart HR a few weeks ago and I love that it has got me moving more. I am trying to up my game by using more of the features but I am having trouble with Courses. I cannot find the Create Courses on the Connect Menu. Can anyone give me the correct steps?
Thanks

You are not seeing the Course feature in Garmin Connect, because the vivosmart HR does not support that feature. The Course feature is designed to be used with one of the GPS devices that are able to guide users along the course that has created such as an Edge cycling computer. This feature would be visible if you added a course compatible device to your account in the future.

Problem with "stay on roads" option when creating a course

Despite ticking the box "stay on roads" when creating a course, Garmin Connect constantly creates courses going through dirt roads, at times even small tracks, maybe ideal for someone with an "all-roads" bike, but certainly a big problem for someone like me with a racing bike. This happens both in Belgium and France. How can the problme be fixed? Thanks. Stéphane
  • I suspect it can't. As long as the road is a 'designated' road, GC will follow it. I get the same thing over here in Australia. Bit of a challenge when in a new country on new roads in a new area. Certainly makes life interesting.
