Lost Gear/Shoe Tracking

Hi Garmin Support,

Today, I just realized my shoe mileage that has been tracked since day 1, are lost. It seems like the shoe I added in Gear section is missing too.

If you could assist me to find out what happen to these data, I really appreciate it.

I just noticed the same thing on Garmin Connect. I also sync my data to Strava, so I was able to see the data there and on my Edge 800. My conclusion is that data on Garmin Connect from before 2018 has dropped the gear information, and consequently, the mileage for the gear for rides / runs prior to that data also disappeared. I have two theories: 1) Garmin deletes the gear data older than a certain number of days, or 2) Garmin only maintains gear data on a certain number of activities.
