GPSMap 78sc

Noobie question here, how do I alter this waypoint to fit into my gpsmap 78sc?
N42 21.40 W082 53.87

My gps has 3 characters at the end, not 2. Do I change the position format in the gps, convert the waypoint somehow? I tried both both but neither seems to be the solution.

S0, to reiterate, the .40 at the end of the latitude position need to somehow convert to 3 digits. What is the correct method so I have a correct waypoint?
