    Garmin,

How long is it going to take your engineers to resolve this issue?

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I am happy to assist you today.

We are aware that some customers are not able to search Activities in Connect. Our engineers are working on a resolution and I have added you to the open case. You will be notified via email once this has been resolved.

Have a great day and thank you for choosing Garmin!

    Now Keyword Search

When I open the Activities page I no longer see a Keyword Search. Only options are to search using the various parameters Garmin has listed (dates, courses, etc). What's the point of putting notes or names to a given ride if I can't go back and search for that ride?

Am I missing something or is Garmin just not interested in begin useful?

Need to be able to search!!

Not having a key search function and lagging technology are even MORE reasons to switch to Strava, for my primary data base of rides. They are heads and shoulders above Garmin. Just a shame, I have years of activities on Garmin Connect.

    Hello Guys,
The function is still in Connect but NOT in Activities. It is in FITNESS then look at the Activities window upper right corner and click the magnifying glass. :o
BUT it only will search for activities loaded prior to March 2017 because that is when some genius started letting Connect import rides with corrupt dates. :p
Click the icon and the default search is where you live covering the last 30 days. You will get 1-2 rides and if you open them they will be dated 2019, 2029 or some other corrupt date.
Open > Filters > Time Period > Custom Dates > use the 2 calendars to set Jan1,2017 - Mar1,2017 and you will get all the usual rides.
  • That actually doesn't work. Many people have tried this. I did exactly what you suggested and got zero results for my runs in that window. You can see here...it doesn't work for private activities and the point of the search is to just search my activities, not everyone's.

If you want service, then use the proper channel, and away from open view. You're of course welcome to do that and also tell others here what you've done, but don't expect to kill two birds with one stone and only have to raise the issue (once) on your preferred channel; it doesn't work that way.

I tried to submit feedback on the search feature no longer working (how they took the bar away, etc) and instead of any ticket I got a generic "unfortunately we will not reply to you"

The thing I found was that they want us to link activity to courses in order to view them? Seems like their search database is overloaded to they punish the users.

How do I link an activity to a course?
You can link an activity to the course you followed when performing the activity. Linking your activities to courses allows you to sort your activities by course, so you can easily compare your performance to other activities and course goals.
    • Select an activity.
    • Choose Edit.
    • From the Course drop-down list, select a course name.
  • Keyword search is back as of Garmin Connect online 3.19.0.14.
