How do you add VO2Max to Garmin Connect

Hi. I am using a Forerunner 235, which provides VO2 max estimates on the watch. However, I have not been able to find a report that I can add to Garmin Connect that provides VO2 Max (it was always there in the classic view, but is no longer visible in the modern view). Thanks in advance. Doug
  • It's the last of the selectable reports in the Report widget in Garmin Connect online

I take it you're asking how to make your VO2Max estimate visible on a dashboard in Garmin Connect online? You can just add a Report widget to a dashboard, and then select VO[sub]2[/sub]‑Max from the drop-down menu.

If you want to see trends in your VO2Max estimate over a period, you'll have to bring up the ">‑Max report page">VO[sub]2[/sub]‑Max report page.

    Newbie question

Thanks for the assistance. When I select reports from the drop down menu, and then select VO2Max, I get the full report of VO2 Max over time. How do I get just the widget that I can add to a dashboard? Thanks in advance.
  • From the VO2 Max report tile, click on the little gear (top right corner) and select "Current" and you should have what you are looking for...

Or rather, one of the reporting period options listed under Current.

Thanks, by the way, for pointing that out; I wasn't actually aware until now that you could choose a different reporting period for the widget. :)

    More assistance please

Sorry, but I am not seeing the gear in either Firefox or Safari. I can get to the full page report for VO2 max, but there is no gear on that page that allows me to reduce it to a widget. Thanks in advance.

I see it in Safari‑9.1 on my Mac (running OS‑X 10.11.4):

and also in Safari on my iPad Air (running iOS 9.3.1).

    Success (sort of)

Thanks for the help. So, I've been able to change an existing report so that it provides VO2 max, but creating an additional report -- no luck. When I select the reports from the drop down page it automatically goes to full page and no matter how I move my cursor around the page the gear doesn't show up allowing me to reduce the size of the report down to a widget. This is happening in both Firefox and Safari.

On the line under the ≡ menu that reads Reports‑|‑>, click on the > symbol and not on the word Report, to bring up the extra panel that has the +‑Add‑to‑Dashboard button.

That part doesn't work on an iPad, though.
