There are other threads on this - it is possible to amend the swim but it can be convoluted - see my thread from yesterday where I thought I had an additional issue with speed/pace.
At the moment yes - but this is a recent change to Connect - you used to be able to edit pool swim with no problem - I suggest that anyone with this problem reports to garmin support (raise a ticket) then if they get bombarded they may do something about it
