Vivosmart HR and Garmin Connect Syncing Issues

Hey, I just bought a Vivosmart HR and have had a lot of troubles getting it added to my garmin connect.

Before I had a vivofit and never had any syncing issues, but now that it shows that the vivosmart hr is one of my devices, it will not sync properly.

For example currently I have 4017 steps today and my garmin connect app has been showing 4,718 steps since 6am this morning.

I have tried to sync the device several times and although everything seems to be accurate on my vivosmart hr, it is not changing anything on my connect app.

I have a iPhone 6 and everything is up to date. I made sure all the updates were done to the vivosmart Hr. I tried uninstalling the app and re-logging in. Nothing has been working to fix the issue.

If anyone has any ideas or had similar issues, please let me know! Thank you!!
  • Is the VSHR set as your primary tracker? If not, it won't sync anything except activities. If it isn't it should present a dialog box stating that steps and/or sleep were not synced.
